Why is this Senate vote so important?

Because it will be an epic change in our parliamentary style of government!

Since Canada was created 146 years ago, everything has changed ─ except for our parliament ─ from horse and buggy travel to space ships; from smoke signals to the internet .

Why does an elected, independent Senator mean so much to Alberta?

Because an elected independent Senator will focus on regional matters, which will be a counter balance to the political partys' focus on the large number of voters in central Canada.

This is what our constitution originally intended the Senate to do.

What would be my mission in the Senate?

In electronic consultation with all Albertans and considering circumstances, I would

Champion the responsible development of the oil sands

Support the long term viability of the food industry (rural and agricultural Alberta)

Work for current and future seniors (you’re either one or the other)

Will an elected Senator be appointed?

Unquestionably yes, in my opinion, based on precedent and the long-time commitment of the Prime Minister to Senate Reform .
What makes me different?

I don't represent a political party or its leader . I represent you, the people of Alberta.

I'm asking you to vote for an independent Senator. It' s a vote for your country. Vote for Canada!
